The Phir Story is committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of our Users. We understand and acknowledge that our Users have a legitimate expectation of privacy, including an expectation that we will protect their identities and personal information from disclosure to third parties, and we are committed to upholding that expectation of privacy with very limited exceptions, as described below. When the term “Users” is used in this Privacy Policy it shall mean: (i) visitors and users of our website The Phir Story and our apps and (ii) consignors to The Phir Story “Consignors” who are also subject to additional consignment terms pursuant to our Consignment Agreement.
Please review this Privacy Policy to better understand our practices as they apply to your personal information. By using The Phir Story service you confirm that you have read and understood the entirety of this Privacy Policy and agree to be bound by it and the other documents referenced herein.
Our Terms of Service (including Consignment Terms if you are a Consignor) apply to The Phir Story service. If you do not agree with them, then you should not continue to use The Phir Story service.
What we collect
When you shop, sell, or just browse, we collect what we need to run the service and nothing we don't:
Details you give us. Your name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, and — if you sell — the country you're based in and the payment details we need to pay you (such as your Zelle information or mailing address for a check).
Order and listing information. What you bought or sold, the price, and messages you send us about an order.
Automatic information. Like most websites, we and our providers collect basic technical data such as your device type, browser, and pages you view, through cookies and similar tools. This helps the site work and helps us understand what's useful.
How we use it
We use your information to process orders and payments, pay sellers, ship items and let you track them, answer your questions, prevent fraud and counterfeits, meet our legal obligations, and improve the service. If you're a seller, we use the country you tell us to work out shipping and how you get paid. We don't sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share only what's needed, and only with:
Service providers who help us operate — our ecommerce platform (Shopify), payment processors, and shipping carriers. They may only use your information to do their job for us.
Buyers and sellers to the limited extent a transaction requires — for example, a seller shipping directly to you needs your shipping address.
Authorities and brands where the law requires it, or when we're investigating counterfeit or stolen goods as described in our Terms and Consignment Agreement.
Cookies
Cookies are small files that let the site remember things like what's in your cart and keep you signed in. You can turn cookies off in your browser settings, but parts of the site may stop working properly if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for as long afterwards as we need it to finish transactions, keep records we're legally required to keep, and resolve any disputes.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and we rely on trusted providers like Shopify to store and process it securely. No system is ever completely secure, so we can't promise perfect security, but we work to keep your data protected.
Your choices
You can ask us to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email admin@thephirstory.com and we'll help. Keep in mind we may need to hold on to some information to meet legal or record-keeping obligations. You can also unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the link in the email.
Children
The Phir Story is meant for adults. You must be 18 or older to buy or sell with us, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version on this page is always the current one, and if we make a significant change we'll let you know.
